SPEAKER: ISAAC GETZ
Isaac Getz is a professor of Idea, Initiative, and Innovation Management at the ESCP-EAP European School of Management (Paris•London•Berlin•Madrid•Torino) Paris campus, France, ranked in the world top 25 by Financial Times, and was Visiting Professor at Cornell and Stanford Universities and at the University of Massachusetts. He graduated in Computer Science, and then obtained a M.Sc. in Management Science, and Ph.D. in Psychology. Before becoming a professor, he worked for several years in the area of Information Systems.
Isaac Getz has conducted and published research on diverse topics related to innovation, management, corporate excellence, vision, and growth. In 2000, the leading French business review l'Expansion named him among the best 8 professors of Management in Europe.
Isaac Getz is an active speaker on the topics of idea and innovation management, employee initiative and involvement, and corporate excellence and change. He has led corporate seminars among others in Generali, Crédit Agricole, Gaz de France, Thomson, Rexam, Carrefour, Suez, and France Telecom and was invited for management seminars and keynote addresses among others in Cornell, Stanford, and New York Universities, University of Massachusetts, Tel-Aviv University, Norwegian and Helsinki Schools of Economics and Business Administration, LUISS Rome, and IIPM India.
In addition, Isaac Getz’s work on the idea and innovation management and his consulting on the issues of idea and innovation management and corporate change brought him into leading companies and organizations around the world such as BNP-Paribas, Société Générale, BBVA, Airbus, Siemens, Philips, Intel, Oracle, Toshiba, Air France, SNCF, Harley Davidson, Toyota, Renault, Opel, and Michelin.
In 2003-2004, Isaac Getz co-authored with Alan Robinson a book InnovationsPOWER in German (French, Italian, Dutch, and Spanish editions also exist) which details the key role of Systems for Managing Ideas in improving corporate financial performance, innovation, and sustainable growth. It was one of the 3 finalists for the Manpower Award of the Best Book of the year in France.
