Virtuoso Violinist, Entrepreneur & Cultural Ambassador of Slovenia

Miha Pogacnik is a diplomat, violinist, business advisor and visionary. His gift is the ability to harness The Arts for the benefit of business. New ways of thinking and understanding are communicated via the violin in a way which is difficult to describe.

Miha will lead the Slovenian Symphony Orchestra in an extraordinary demonstration of the Surround Method. London Business Forum delegates will be invited to sit within the orchestra far away from the conventional stage-audience setting. Using the Symphony Orchestra as his metaphor Miha will open up a dialogue on issues of teamwork and communication and effectively demonstrate the differences between rational corporate ways of thinking and approaching problems as opposed to the creative way of thinking which artists and musicians apply.

Through music Miha revitalises the corporate audience's perceptions of their organization and its structure. He deconstructs great musical works such as Bach G Minor Fugue to show the development of human life and human organizations, releasing people's thinking processes and generating creativity.

Miha's extraordinary methods have been used by companies such as Ericsson, Shell, IBM, Saatchi & Saatchi, British Aerospace and Nike. He has recently addressed the World Business Academy, UNESCO, State of the World Forum and the Economic World Forum in Davos.

Miha Pogacnik is also president of IDRIART, the Institute of the Development of Intercultural Relations through the Arts, based in Hamburg, Germany. Miha Pogacnik is currently dedicated to develop an intercultural Centre on each continent to serve younger generations, in particular the creation of their future.

Miha is featured in Peter Senge's The Dance of Change and he has recently been interviewed in The Guardian in relation to his work with multinational companies.
