SPEAKER: HUW VAN STEENIS

Huw van Steenis leads Morgan Stanley's coverage of Brokerage, Asset Management and Diversified Financials in Europe. The team he heads is currently ranked number one in both the Extel and Institutional Investor polls. He was also recently voted the number one ranked individual analyst in the Institutional Investor poll for Diversified Financials for the fourth year running and in the Extel investor poll, for the second year running. He is widely quoted and his work has appeared in academic journals, publications by regulators, books and he has penned a number of OpEd articles including for the Financial Times and The Guardian.

Huw has advised or analysed financial services for 14 years. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Huw was Diversified Financials and Banks Strategist for JPMorgan, where he was voted top three for Diversified Financials in all the investor polls. Previously, Huw had worked as a Senior Manager at the Boston Consulting Group advising a range of financials and before business school worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and London.
