SPEAKER: RENE MIJNDERS
After competing as an athlete at the World Championships twice, Rene
Mijnders
became the national team coach of Dutch Rowing in 1985. Under his
regime the national team won over 50 medals at the various World Championships
and Olympic Games.
The most impressive one however was the gold medal in the Mens Eight
in
Atlanta 1996.
After preparing Oxford for the Boat Race against Cambridge in 1997,
Mijnders
became involved with Dutch Rowing again.
In Sydney 2000 he coached the Women Eight to a silver medal.
At the time he is the overall headcoach of the Dutch Rowing Team that
is
preparing for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Apart from his envolvement in rowing Mijnders works as an independant
management consultant. He deals with topics as leadership, change
management, executive coaching and team coaching.
Mijnders is also senior advisor of CBO, the Dutch Institute of Healthcare
Improvement. |
